Kim Taek Rok, a veteran detective at the Geumo Police Station, is on the brink of retirement when he starts receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be an old friend. The caller confesses to killing Taek Rok's colleague, Woo Hyun Seok, and urges him to delve into his past misdeeds. At first, Taek Rok's Investigation Squad Chief, Kook Jin Han, who recently transferred to Geumo Police Station, suspects Taek Rok of being Woo Hyun Seok's murderer. However, he soon begins to believe in Taek Rok's innocence. Together, they team up with detectives Lee Sung A and Son Kyung Chan to track down the mysterious caller.
