An extremist Taliban group takes a group of Korean tourists hostage in Afghanistan. In response, the Korean government dispatches Jae Ho, one of the country's most skilled diplomats, to handle the crisis. Upon arrival, Jae Ho seeks the Afghan government’s cooperation and employs every possible strategy to free the hostages. Despite his relentless efforts, he fails to secure their release. Consequently, he is compelled to team up with Dae Sik, a special agent and Middle East expert. As they begin their mission to confront the Taliban, the first hostage is killed.
