An extremist Taliban faction seizes a group of Korean tourists in Afghanistan, prompting the Korean government to deploy Jae Ho, renowned as one of Korea's most adept diplomats, to manage the crisis. Despite his best efforts upon arrival and seeking cooperation from the Afghan government, Jae Ho struggles to secure the hostages' release. In the wake of his initial setback, Jae Ho is compelled to collaborate with Dae Sik, a specialized agent well-versed in Middle Eastern affairs. As they devise a strategy to confront the Taliban, tragedy strikes with the first hostage fatality.
